About The Wanderlust Blogger
Hi! I'm Dusti, the writer for The Wanderlust Blogger.
The "Spark" for traveling really started for me on my first trip to Italy when I was pregnant with my daughter. Before that first trip to Italy, I had believed it was a once in a lifetime trip. However, after setting foot there, I knew it wouldn't be my last time.
My most favorite memory of traveling was the second time I went to Italy with some friends. We were based in Positano where the amount of stairs to get anywhere was insane! Our friend's husband bought food from a local market, and cooked for all of us for two nights. We would eat and drink taking in the beautiful views from our balcony with our friends. Aside from the delicious food the private boat tour of Capri was another ultimate highlight.
My ultimate wish for you is that by reading this blog you will see that traveling with your kids is not as scary as it seems. I also want you to know that traveling doesn't have to be an unfulfilled dream. With a plan and a budget it is completely tangible to accomplish this with your family!
My Traveling Must Haves
Since we budget and prioritize our traveling so far in advance, I generally make it a point to travel minimal. I have two absolute favorite can't survive without must haves:
No matter what, I always have a camera on me. I don't always carry my big professional DSLR. Sometimes it's just my camera phone, especially since their quality keeps getting better!
It’s my personal item when I fly. I also use it as my “day bag” because it isn’t as obvious as a backpack that I’m a tourist. Ha! It can easily fit everything I need for a day away from where I'm staying.
